Wade Coye is the son of a second generation dairy farmer from upstate New York. He graduated from the State University of New York at Morrisville with an Associate of Arts degree. http://www.morrisville.edu/ He proceeded to the State University of New York at Buffalo and obtained a Bachelors of Arts. http://www.buffalo.edu/ He attended law school at the State University of New York at Buffalo, receiving a Juris Doctor, cum laude. http://www.law.buffalo.edu/ He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1989.

 

Coye has a background in politics; serving in various capacities of state, local and congressional campaigns. In Washington, D. C. he was on the staff of Hon. Gerald B. Solomon, Congressman from Glens Falls, New York.http://www.house.gov/ He also served on the campaign staff of Hon. George C. Wortley, Congressman from Syracuse, New York.

 

Mr. Coye served in the United States Army, Infantry, 1/41^st Infantry Battalion, 2^nd Armored Division, and was part of the team initially testing the Bradley fighting vehicle.

 

He began his legal career with a large commercial law firm. His work included handling work on behalf of the Resolution Trust Corporation, products liability, directors and officers liability, and other commercial matters. In 1991 Mr. Coye formed the Coye Law Firm, as a consumer focused practice handling personal injury, workers compensation, wrongful death and insurance claims. He was an early adapter of computer technology and the internet; appearing on one of the first national lists of lawyers using the internet http://www.erikjheels.com His continuing interest in technology led him to develop a custom database to increase efficiency and accuracy in his service to clients.

 

The firm has enjoyed outstanding resolution of various client matters. Cases have included successful suits against a major theme park in the Orlando area, Utiltities, Construction Companies and major insurance carriers. The Coye Law Firm has obtained million dollar recoveries in catastrophic injury cases and has successfully handled appeals to the First and Fifth District Court of Appeals as well as the Florida Supreme Court. It has additionally tried cases to a successful verdict in Circuit court and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

 

The Coye Law Firm routinely handles administrative matters including Workers Compensation and the Social Security Administration. Additionally, it handles routine legal matters involving small businesses and probate.

Wade Coye is married with five children. His oldest has just completed his third combat tour with the United States Marine Corps . Mr. Coye is a licensed private pilot who flies his company owned plane to various locations on behalf of clients to conduct discovery depositions, and appearances in Court. He is a certified scuba diver with other interests including aviation, soccer, and real estate. Mr. Coye maintains several other business interests including Liberty Tax Service franchises in Orlando, Florida.

 

DANIEL E. SMITH II is an associate in the firms workers compensation and appellate departments.  Mr. Smith was raised in Orlando where he graduated from Edgewater High School.   While at Edgewater, Mr. Smith was active in sports, including wrestling, football, weightlifting and track and field.  Mr. Smith graduated number one in his college from the University of Central Florida in 2002 were he majored in Legal Studies and minored in Criminal Justice.  Mr. Smith attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law and graduated magna cum laude in 2005.  While at the University of Florida, Mr. Smith served as the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy.   He also interned for the Honorable Martha Ann Lott, Eighth Judicial Circuit of Florida, Alachua County and also performed his clinical training at the Gator Team Child Juvenile Law Clinic.   Upon graduation, Mr. Smith was invited to membership in the prestigious Order of the Coif.  Mr. Smith was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2005.   

Tara Warrington is an associate at the Coye Law Firm, specializing in probate, guardianship, tax and general litigation matters.

DAVID MACWILLIAMS is a Senior Case Manager. He is a graduate from the University of Delaware, Class of 1974 with a BachelorÂ’s Degree in Spanish and Latin American Culture. After 7 1/2 years with TravelersÂ’ Insurance Company as a field Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor also doing medical management, he entered the legal field full time in Ocala, Florida. After 12 years with another practice where he specialized in medical analysis and litigation case preparation applicable to Social Security Disability, Personal Injury and WorkersÂ’ Compensation, he joined the Coye Law firm in 2007. He speaks, reads and writes fluent Spanish.

Dave and his wife of 32 years have two sons, and family life is very important to them. He enjoys ethnic cooking and is an active member of the Marion County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).

DALE McDYER Dale McDyer is a Case Manager, specializing in Personal Injury, for the Coye Law Firm. Born in Evenston, Illinois, Dale attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While at the University of Illinois, he was an All-American competition swimmer. Dale started his claims career working for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. He worked for several different insurance companies for 32 years. He has worked in Chicago and DesPlaines IL; Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and Orlando. He is an experienced claims professional in all lines of insurance and has dealt with all different types of claims. After mastering the insurance field, Dale entered the legal field. He has been working for plaintiff’s law firms for the past nine years. Dale joined the Coye Law firm in 2006. Dale enjoys all types of outdoor activities, mostly notably boating. He has been happily married for the past 15-years, with two children and three stepchildren. His daughter works in Orlando for Embarq, while his son is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist in Jacksonville, FL.
