The staff of Coye Law Firm and I are saddened to hear about the passing of Gary Michael Cohen, whose plane crashed during his solo flight from Lake Keystone Seaplane Base in Hillsborough County to Orlando Executive Airport on the morning of September 18th, 2015.
For those that may not know,Gary Cohen was father to Garrison Cohen, who used to work with us at Coye Law Firm. Garrison was a Legal Assistant here and he is currently attending the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
Our hearts go out to Garrison and the entire Cohen family during this extremely difficult time.
As an instrument rated private pilot myself, I know the joys as well as the dangerous risks of flying and can only imagine how painful this tragedy must be for Gary Cohen's family and friends.
An excerpt from Gary Cohen’s obituary:
“Gary was a loving man who gave all he had to those he cared about. He conquered the balance of being a parent and best-friend to his children, and was also a second father to many. He was a life coach to all, was very generous with his knowledge, and always led by example. Gary was an adventurous soul who rose to any challenge and was a champion at everything he did.”
