General Practice Areas & Background

The Coye Law Firm was founded 1991 with the goal of being a firm focused on clients, whether it be in cases such as personal injury, workers' compensation, wrongful death, or insurance claims. Mr. Coye was an early adapter of the internet and other computer technology to make the practice run more efficiently and accurately. The firm's continued use of technology provides a high level of service to clients in each type of legal matter.

Our firm handles many types of cases. Experienced attorneys investigate cases regarding administrative matters, such as workers' compensation and the Social Security Administration, as well as traditional legal matters involving probate and small businesses. Attorneys

Wade B. Coye is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law and a U.S. Army Infantry veteran. He is a proud member of the National Organization of Veterans' Advocates, priding himself and his practice on seeking what is right, helping others, and ensuring that those who cause injuries are held responsible for them. Mr. Coye, his wife, Joan and five children make their home in College Park. In his spare time, as an instrument rated private pilot, he enjoys flying and traveling with his family.

Daniel E. Smith II is a partner in the law firm handling and overseeing multiple departments. After attending Edgewater High School and the University of Central Florida, Mr. Smith moved onto the University of Florida Levin College of Law. There he served as editor-in-chief for the school's Journal of Law and Public Policy. Mr. Smith was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2005. He and his wife are expecting their first child this year.

Salim Punjani, graduated from Barry University's school of Law, where he was a member of the Environmental Law Society and treasurer for the Animal Rights Law Society. He has been nationally recognized for his work with youth at underfunded schools in Atlanta. When Salim isn't working on behalf of injured employees, he enjoys running with his dog Rahki in local parks around Orlando. He also enjoys playing basketball and cheering for the Chicago Bear, Bulls, Cubs, and Blackhawks.

Amber Williams graduated from Stetson University with both her Juris Doctor and her Masters in Business Administration. At Stetson she was secretary of Phi Delta Phi, a legal fraternity, and she worked at the Coye Law Firm during her undergraduate and graduate studies. Her plans include involvement with Guardian Ad Litem program and admission to practice in federal court. Eventually, she would like to focus her practice on family law, and has ambitions of representing children in the foster care system. She is married to her high school sweetheart.

Adrian D. Wright graduated from Florida A&M University, College of Law. Before becoming an attorney, Adrian spent 18 years working in the disability field, four of which she spent in the Disability Determination Services of Florida and Arizona adjudicating Social Security Disability claims. Adrian is a loyal and passionate Clemson football fan. She enjoys watching the games, and reading in her free time. She also likes to travel, calling herself a �road warrior�.


Case Managers

David MacWilliams is a senior case manager and experienced in medical cases and fields. He graduated from the University of Delaware and worked for Traveler's Insurance as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. After working with Traveler's, he decided to pursue the legal aspects of rehabilitation. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys spending time with family.

Jorge Gomez was born in Cali, Columbia and moved to the United States in 1999. Jorge attended the University of Central Florida and completed his Bachelor�s degree in political science with a focus in American policy. Recently, Jorge was accepted to Liberty University's graduate program and will be attending seminary school in the fall of 2014. When not actively engaged in one of his numerous duties, Jorge enjoys spending his down-time playing soccer, working out, and singing and playing guitar in his church.

Philip Wayne was born in Miami, FL and grew up in Plant City. Philip graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Legal Studies. He plans to attend law school this fall with hopes of becoming a successful attorney. In his free time, Philip enjoys wakeboarding, snowboarding, playing basketball, horseback riding, going to the movies, hanging out with friends, and spending time at the beach.

Carter Hamlin was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and serves as Vice President of New Member Education and Intramural Sports Chair. He recently graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Legal Studies and hopes to attend law school, focusing on criminal defense. In his spare time, Carter enjoys snowboarding, playing basketball, playing video games, and reading.

Garrison Cohen is from Tampa, Florida and attended Sickles High School. He is the Vice President of the Rugby Club and the Risk Management officer of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He recently graduated from The University of Central Florida with a degree in Legal Studies. He will be attending the University of Florida Levin College of Law this fall. In his free time he enjoys playing and watching sports, traveling, and listening to music.

Matthew Bussin was born in New York, New York and attended Farmingdale High School before moving to Oviedo, Florida. He graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2013, where he majored in Legal Studies and minored in Criminal Justice. There he participated in basketball and football. He plans to take a year off from his studies before attending law school, and is currently a member of our Personal Injury department.


Law Clerks

Atiya T. Munroe, 29, was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up in Orlando, where she attended Winter Park High School. She earned her B.S. from the University of Florida in 2005, where she majored in Finance and minored in Education. Atiya also earned her M.S. in Mathematics Education from Florida State University in 2007. She is currently in her third year of law school at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she will be a Juris Doctor Candidate in May of 2014.


Interns

My Doan, 21, was born in Vietnam and raised in Orlando, Fl. She attended Maynard Evans High School and graduated Valedictorian of her class. She currently attends Rollins College majoring in Communications with a minor in Political Science. She is a member of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. MyTien works with the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Office of Community Engagement at Rollins, devoting her time to service and social justice initiatives. In her free time she enjoys cooking, watching movies, shopping, and working out. She plans to attend law school after graduation and pursue a career helping others.

Charlie Xie, 21, was born in Shanghai, China and grew up in Boca Raton, Fl. He attended Atlantic High School where he was a part of the International Baccalaureate Program. Charlie is currently a junior at the University of Central Florida majoring in Criminal Justice with a certificate in criminal profiling. He received his Community Service Officer diploma from the Delray Beach Police Department while maintaining consecutive President’s honor roll. Charlie plans on attending law school after college to pursue his interest in criminal law where he hopes to become a defense attorney. He speaks two dialects of Chinese, Mandarin and Shanghainese.

Stephanie Torres, 22, was born in Bronx, New York and grew up in Orlando, FL where she attended Timber Creek High School. She is a recent graduate of the University of Central Florida where she received her BS in Legal Studies. During her time at UCF she received President’s list and was apart of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. Stephanie plans to attend law school next spring to pursue criminal and family law. In her free time she enjoys shopping and spending time with her family.

Michael Kassem, 21, was born in Coral Springs, Fl. He attends the University of Central Florida majoring in Political Science with a Pre-law focus and minoring in Business, Writing and Rhetoric, and Judaic Studies. He is an honors thesis candidate and has maintained Dean’s list. Michael serves as the coach of the Phi Alpha Delta pre-law mock trail team. In his free time he enjoys playing the guitar, saxophone, and soccer.

Rebecca Ledesma is originally from Miami, Fl. She attended G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School where she was class president. Currently, she is pursuing her BS in Legal Studies with a minor in Crime Law & Defiance at the University of Central Florida. After college, Rebecca hopes to attend an ABA top 100 law school and practice property and real estate law. She is a first generation American as well as first generation college student; She will be the third within her family to receive a college diploma.
