The Ombudsman Program

The ombudsman program in Florida is made up of about 400 volunteers and helps to provide a support system to elderly people who are making a new adjustment to a long-term care nursing facility. Ombudsmen provide an ear for residents to talk to if they feel that they cannot talk to the staff or administrators at a nursing facility about any problems or concerns that they have.
